Dear Friends,
Kol HaNeshama has been busy over the last several months preparing and planning for the High Holy Days which commence Friday Evening, September 18.
Leading our services will be our wonderful team of Nehama Benmosche, Rabbinic Intern, from the Reconstructionist Rabbinical College and Jennifer Singer, our own Ritual Director. The singing and worship of the high holiday liturgy will include new as well as old familiar melodies, explanations, torah reading and discussions.
A supervised playroom will be available to those who register their children ages 4-9; and there will be a special storytelling time for children on Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur morning. Storytelling will take place at 9 AM before formal services begin and parents, with their children, are invited to attend.
The tradition of Tashlich (day one of Rosh Hashanah), throwing of our sins into moving water, symbolically represented by throwing small pieces of bread or crackers into moving water, will be conducted at Phillipi Creek, which flows along the edge of the property. Tashlich will take place immediately after the storytelling hour, giving our children, as well as the entire congregation, a rich, enjoyable and meaningful Jewish experience.
Ticket prices for non-member adults will be $125.00 / person.
No one will be turned away for financial reasons.
There will be no seat charge for children, college students and military personnel on active duty.
Members will receive their tickets as part of their dues.
