Bio - Dr. Joel Gluck ... Warwick, RI

Dr. Joel Gluck’s career has taken him from his practice of podiatric medicine and surgery, to teaching human anatomy at the high school and college levels, to his current passion, studying in the cantorial ordination program of the Jewish Spiritual Leader’s Institute.

He began singing with a Jewish choral group in in 1990 when living in Philadelphia. Later, he sang with the world famous Zamir Chorale of Boston where he was a frequent soloist.

After moving to Rhode Island six years ago, he took over the direction of Shireinu, The Jewish Community Chorus of Temple Sinai in Cranston. In addition to leading monthly services, Joel has conducted the chorus in numerous concerts and serves as a principal soloist.

He continues to teach, and loves helping those who want to enter health careers for the betterment of society.

Cantor Joel is very excited to be teaming with Rabbi Jennifer and working with the Kol HaNeshama family in his first official pulpit and position as Cantor. He is looking forward to personally greeting each congregant, and beginning the new year singing and chanting with the community.

Cantor Gluck is married to Gaye Belsky Gluck. They have a son Anthony.
